Terms of Service
1. About the service
Leaf by Leaf (“the service”) is a free reading-log app that helps you read a little every day — ten leaves (about 20 pages) and one line — and share it with friends. These terms set out how you may use it and the rights and responsibilities of you and the operator.
2. Your account
- You sign in with an Apple, Google, or Kakao account.
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the service.
- Your account is for you only; don’t share or transfer it.
- You can delete your account in the app at any time. All of your data is permanently deleted right away.
3. Your content
- You own the lines, notes, and comments you post.
- You let us use your content only to run the service — for example, showing it in feeds and reading groups, and in anonymous totals such as how many readers chose the same line.
- The following is not allowed and may be hidden or removed without notice:
- Insults, hate, or harassment
- Sexual content, illegal content, spam, or advertising
- Content that infringes someone else’s copyright or other rights
- You can report content or block a user. Content from people you block won’t appear in your feed, comments, or notifications.
- Accounts that repeatedly post prohibited content may be restricted.
4. Changes to the service
- We may change or discontinue features to improve the service, and we’ll give notice of significant changes in advance.
- The service may be interrupted for maintenance or reasons beyond our control.
5. Limitation of liability
- The service is provided free of charge and “as is”. We are not responsible for the accuracy of what users record.
- To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from your use of the service unless caused by our intent or gross negligence. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
6. Changes to these terms
We’ll post changes here and in the app at least 7 days before they take effect. If you keep using the service after that, you accept the updated terms.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live.
